AEM Intake Systems are designed to produce massive horsepower and torque gains as well as better engine sound when used as a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. The RX8 system is a true cold air intake that relocates the filter into the center of the grill of the front bumper. A massive 9” filter is included to deliver adequate flow for the highrevving Wankel, and a pre-filter sleeve is included to prevent water and debris from contacting the filter element. Additionally, two mesh screens are included to straighten the air stream in the inlet path so that drivability is not affected.
AEM air induction systems are manufactured and assembled in the USA, and are dyno-proven to outperform every intake system on the market. Every AEM intake system includes mandrel-bent, 6061 aluminum piping with TIG welded fittings and brackets, a proprietary filter with a built-in air horn that increases horsepower across the rpm band, complete installation hardware & comprehensive installation instructions.
